Robert "Ernie" Levacy

Robert "Ernie" Levacy, 59, of Lancaster, unexpectedly passed away Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, in Lancaster.

He was born on April 10, 1948, in Pomeroy, to the late Ernest and Christine Marcinko Levacy. Ernie owned the M & L Fence Company and retired from Anchor Hocking. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and was also a member of the Eagles 2120, Moose, American Legion, VFW, AMVETS, Knights of Columbus, 40/8 Club, Anglers Paradise and a part of the C.V.S. fan club.

Ernie is survived by Virginia Levacy; loving children, Tara (Shaun) Miller, Tabatha (Kevin Reed) Levacy and Thomas Levacy, all of Lancaster; adoring grandchildren, Quinton, Lexi and Ian; brothers, David (Ann) Levacy of Millersport and Richard (Nancy) Levacy of Pataskala; sisters, Theresa Levacy of Lancaster, Beth (Adam) Watterson of Lancaster, Helen (Tony) Ross of Bonita Springs, Fla., Nancy (Dr. Frank) Carver of Benecia, Calif., Patty (Rod) Moyer of Lancaster, Lisa (Evan) Murphy of Lancaster and Fran (Dr. Marc) Miller of Lancaster; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Jim and Thomas Levacy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary of the Assumption Church with Father Donald Franks and Father James Walter as celebrants.

Interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Lancaster Veterans Burial Detail.

Family and friends may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Sheridan Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Lancaster Kiwanis Club in memory of Ernie.
