Frieda M. Galiardi

A Mass of Christian burial for Frieda M. Galiardi, 83, of Clearwater, Fla., and formerly of Harbor Hills, was February 18, 2008, at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, with Monsignor Frank Meagher officiating. Interment was in St. Joseph Cemetery, Columbus.

Mrs. Galiardi, a former parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, died Sunday, Feb. 10, 2008, in Florida. She was born June 8, 1924, in Newark, to the late Daniel and Eva (Pfeffer) Galiardi. The family moved to Columbus, where she attended Catholic Sacred Heart and St. Aloysius Academy in New Lexington.

Frieda worked for Commercial Motor Freight before retiring to be companion and caregiver to her mother. She was an artist and pianist. She loved to knit and crochet for everyone.

Frieda is the beloved aunt of Daniel Galiardi, Doug (Drew) Galiardi, all of Columbus, Cathy (Dean) Alford, of Acworth, Ga., Pam (Russ) Atkinson, of Eton, Ohio, Dan (Dawn) McNulty, of Inverness, Fla., Michael (Marion) McNulty, of Sandpoint, Idaho, Shaun (Bev) McNulty, of Westerville, and Colleen (Gary) Grebus, of Brookline, N.H.; brother-in-law, Albert McNulty, of Frostport, Fla.; and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Frieda was preceded in death by one brother and sister.

The family would like to thank the caregivers who helped to care for Frieda in her last months.
