Weisert named to Licking County MRDD Board
NEWARK - Licking County Commissioners recently appointed Tim Weisert of Harbor Hills to the board of the Licking County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities.
Most recently, Weisert served three years as service director for the City of Newark. He retired as vice president of research and development for Holophane.
Weisert has served on the LICCO Inc. Board of Directors, is vice president of the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association, and was active with the Food Pantry Network of Licking County and the Newark-Heath Rotary Club. He joins Fred O'Dell, Nancy Dumbauld, Joan Franks, Beth Beattie, Dave Wigginton and Jean Wright on the board for 2008.
The LCBMRDD provides comprehensive services to nearly 1,200 Licking County children and adults with mental retardation and developmental disabilities, including early intervention and preschool services at E.S. Weiant/Starlight Center in Newark and the Ann Davino Center in Pataskala, adult services at LICCO Inc. in Heath, residential supports, family respite, transportation and service coordination.
