More Letters: Vigil for Justice is Friday at 6 p.m.

Editor:

I want to encourage all the youth in the Village of Buckeye Lake and surrounding communities to attend the Candlelight Prayer Vigil on Friday, Feb 1 - 6 p.m. in front of the Banbury Cross Tea Room next to the village hall. This is an opportunity to support other youth who allegedly were victims of sexual abuse.

The Licking County Sheriff's Officeand television stations will be present so that the community can get an update and hear a plea for information about the whereabouts of John Cortez. Bring your parents and light a candle for justice in this case. This is not about politics. It's about the safety of our children.

On another subject: Calling all skateboarders, inline skaters and BMXers!

There will be a meeting Sunday, Feb 3 - 2 p.m. at the Buckeye Lake Village hall just for you! We have a $10,000 grant to spend in the next few months for Phase II of the skate park. There are three design options and we want to hear from the kids that use the park about what they want. The professional designer/ builder will try to be at the meeting. Bring a friend and help us select the new ramps for Phase II. The designs can also be viewed at any time in the front window of village hall. For questions or comments, please call me at 928-1820.
