Charmaine Fritz, age 79, died January 15, 2008 of cancer at her home in Baltimore. She was born November 26, 1928, to Stanley and Cornelia Blauser in Basil. Charmaine was a member of the Liberty Union High School class of 1946.
A lifelong resident of the Baltimore area, Charmaine retired in 1991 after 33 years of service with the Liberty Union School District, where she spent 13 years as elementary librarian. In retirement Charmaine enjoyed reading, quilting, traveling and spending time with her husband, children and grandchildren.
Charmaine is survived by her husband, Wayne; her brothers, Stanley Blauser Jr. (Barbara) and Robert Blauser (Norma); sisters-in-law. Carol England, Pat Blauser and Rebecca Todd; her son, Mike (Phyllis); her daughter, Jill Maldovan (Dan); her grandsons, Cory, Alex, Matt and Mark; and her granddaughter, Mariah. She was preceded in death by brothers, Kenneth Blauser and Robert Todd.
Friends and family may visit at the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, on Thursday, January 17, from 6 to 8 p.m. and from 12 to 1 p.m. Friday, January 18, prior to a funeral service officiated by Pastor Branson Hawkes. Burial will follow at the Union Evangelical Cemetery.
