Lions Clubs doesn't take positions

The Baltimore Lions Club does not take sides on issues!

In a Letter to the Editor titled "Neighbors question rebirth of junkyard in Baltimore" in the December 9 Beacon, the Baltimore Lions Club was listed as one of the community organizations that opposed the rebirth of this business.

The Baltimore Lions Club would like to state, for the record, that this issue was never brought up at any of our meetings and that no vote was ever taken to reflecta position on this matter. As a community organization, it is our policy NOT to take sides on community or political issues and we have not on this issue.

Thank you for allowing our club to correct a statement that was wrongfully attributed to our organization.
