Dawes Arboretum - Ohio 13, three miles north of I-70.

Night Hike- Friday, December 21, 5 - 7 p.m. Winter's hushed evenings give us a great opportunity to get out and visit the forests for a moment of quiet reflection and peace on this evening walk through The Arboretum, Free, meet at the Visitors Center Deck.

Birds at Your Feeder & Bird Walk- Saturday, January 12, 9 a.m. - noon. Enjoy a light breakfast while identifying birds at the feeders. Following the breakfast, enjoy a walk outside to observe the birds. $8/5 members, reservation required, meet at the Visitors Center.

• Dec. 27- Crazy Eights- Are you ready to get your kids out of the house? Are they glued to the television or running the batteries down on their handheld games? Join us as we step back in time and play amusing, old-fashioned games. No batteries necessary. Be prepared to have fun. William C. Kraner Nature Center. 1:00 p.m.

• Dec. 28- Senior Ramble- We will tour Taft Reserve's southern trails during our last hike of 2007. Rolling hills, beautiful views, and friendly company will highlight the ramble. Afterwards, join us in the nature center and warm up with a hot bowl of soup and warm beverage. William C. Kraner Nature Center. 10:00 a.m.

Sledding Hill - Infirmary Mound Park, Granville. Do you want to venture out and enjoy the sun and snow? If you answered yes, pack up the kids, a sled or two and check out the Licking Park District's sledding hill! The sledding area is located on the hill overlooking Mirror Lake at Infirmary Mound Park. To access the sledding hill, visitors should park in the shelter #6 parking area and follow the Mirror Lake Trail located north of the parking area. Visitors can utilize the sledding hill, conditions permitting, from 8:30 a.m. until dusk seven days a week. If careening down an embankment is not your idea of fun, the Licking Park District facilities are also excellent areas to cross-country ski, hike or snow shoe. All trails are accessible seven days a week, conditions permitting, from 8:30 a.m. until dark. Trailheads at each facility are marked and maps are available at information kiosks, Park District Headquarters or at www. lickingparkdistrict.com.

No Nog Days - Newark. The Works Museum in downtown Newark will hold its third annual "No Nog Days," December 26 through 29 from noon to 4:00 p.m. each day. No prior registration is needed. Each day's activities will focus on a different topic. Wednesday will feature the "No Nog Nationals," which will give attendees a chance to build and racecars in Go Lab. Thursday's topic, "Good Vibrations," will explore the science of sound. Friday will feature an exploration of the science of electricity and magnetism. On Saturday, students will learn about fossils with The Works' "Pleistocene Dentist." No Nog Days will be held in the main museum building at 55 S. First Street in Newark. Romeo and Juliet- Friday, Jan. 4, 8 pm

Tickets: $65, $50, $40, $30 and $15. "St. Petersburg Ballet Theatre will take the stage with Romeo and Juliet on Friday, January 4, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. The full-length ballet is set to the music of Sergei Prokofiev. The company, under the artistic direction of Yuri Petukhov, is the younger "sibling" of the Kirov and the Bolshoi Ballet Theatre, founded over 41 years ago. One of the most distinguished classical companies in Russia, they have toured in more than 50 countries.
