Robert Edward "Bob" Taylor

A funeral service for Robert Edward "Bob" Taylor, 78 of FairfieldBeach, was December 1, 2007, at Johnson-Smith Funeral Home, Baltimore, with the Rev. Harold Sturm officiating. Burial was in Newark Memorial Gardens.

Bob died Nov. 26, 2007, at Mount Carmel East Hospital. He was born Oct. 5, 1929, in Roscoe, to the late Charles and Clara (Foster) Taylor. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Buckeye Lake VFW 1388, Millersport American Legion 0637 and the United States Trotting Association, and worked for Owens Corning Fiberglas, Little Turtle Golf Course, the City of Gahanna, Licking Memorial Hospital and retired from Chandelle Horse Farm.

He is survived by his better half, Millie Hines, of FairfieldBeach; daughters, Renee (Eric) Holmquist, of Zanesville, Kimberly Gough, of Newark, and Tammie (Bob) Barker, of Fairfield Beach; sons, Joe West, of Texas, Tim (Barb) West, of Buckeye Lake, Gary West, of FairfieldBeach, and J.R. (Cassie) Hines, of Fairfield Beach; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Gladys Spinks and Bonnie McClain, both of Coshocton; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Robert C. Taylor; two sisters; and three brothers.
