Fred E. Weingand
Fred E. Weingand, age 66, of Hebron, died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at OSU Medical Center as a result of injuries received from an accidental fall at his residence earlier in the day.
He was born November 5, 1941, in Cleveland to the late Edward & Carol (Wollpert) Weingand. He served in the Ohio National Guard and received his bachelor's degree in architecture from The Ohio State University. A member of A.I.A., he was employed at NBBJ Design in Columbus, and was a well-known architect/designer locally, nationally and internationally. An avid traveler, sailboater, powerboater and hobbyist, he loved trains and building model ships, but most important to him were his family, friends and pets.
He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Diana (Wisecarver) Weingand; sister, Edna (John) Spiker; brothers-in-law, Jan (Jennifer) Wisecarver, Jeff Wisecarver; sister-in-law, Cheryl (Steve) Steffy; step-father-inlaw, William Van Horn; stepsisters in-law, Toni (Garry) Stephenson, Debbie Van Horn; his cat, Ti; his dog, Abby; aunts, and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service was held November 29, 2007, at the Dwayne R. Spence Funeral Home, Canal Winchester, with the Rev. Dr. William L. Snider officiating. Interment followed at Glen Rest Memorial Estate. Online condolences at www. spencefuneralhome.com
