Lakewood sets financial aid meeting

HEBRON - Lakewood High School is sponsoring a Financial Aid Information Night at 7 p.m. on Monday, December 3, in the high school auditorium.

Interested parents and students are encouraged to attend this meeting. Though the information is geared toward graduating seniors, anyone who would like to know more about financing their education after high school is encouraged to attend.

Patty Myers, from the Financial Aid Officeat Ohio State University - Newark and Central Ohio Technical College, will present the program. She will discuss the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application process and deadlines. Myers will also go over how to fillout the required forms. Guests will leave the program with materials designed to make the application process easier.

At this informational meeting, families will also be able to register to use a computer for the next month's Financial Aid Computer Help Night at Lakewood High School on Tuesday, January 15, 2008. Beginning January 1, 2008, families may begin to go online to complete their FAFSA. At the Computer Help Night, families can plug in their financial information and hopefully submit their FAFSA that evening. There will be financial aid professionals there to help and answer your specific questions.

Students are strongly encouraged to attend the December Informational meeting as computer space is limited and students that attend the December meeting will get first priority.
