Gerald Richard Watson
Gerald Richard Watson, 75, of Pleasantville, passed away peacefully, Saturday, Nov. 17, 2007, at FairfieldMedical Center surrounded by his loving family.
He was a lifelong farmer near Pleasantville and the son of the late Gerald and Bertha Watson. He also was a retired bus driver for FairfieldUnion Local School District with 45 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the New Salem United Methodist Church, Pleasantville Masonic Lodge No. 531, and the Pleasantville Grange No. 1615. He enjoyed playing euchre and bingo.
Richard is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Ann Hart Watson; two daughters, Mary Lou (Randy) Caudill of Marion and Barb (Jeff) Smith of Lancaster; son, Bill (Carmen) Watson of Pleasantville; 10 grandchildren; special granddog, Salem; sister, Jo Ann (Richard) Swinehart of Pleasantville; brothers in-law and sisters-in-law, Jack (Alice) Hart Granville and Nancy (Brady) Crawmer of Toboso; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother, Charles.
Services will take place at 3 p.m. Wednesday at New Salem United Methodist church with the Rev. Roger McElfresh officiating. Burial to follow in New Salem Cemetery.
Friends may visit one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.
