Buckeye Lake

• Oct. 26: A Slocum Street man reported that someone stole tools from the back of his truck.

• Oct. 26: A Heath juvenile reported his bike was stolen from a Buckeye Lake residence.

• Oct. 26: The Ohio Highway State Patrol requested Buckeye Lake police check I-70 for a reported drunk driver. No drunk driver was located.

• Oct. 27: A Walnut Road woman reported a case of identity theft.

• Oct. 27: A Mill Dam Road man reported a possible fight on Highland Avenue. He wasn't willing to say there was a fight for certain, because he said he was intoxicated. No fight was found on Highland Avenue.

• Oct. 27: An Ohio Street woman reported getting into verbal fight with her father, but wasn't ready to press charges.

• Oct. 27: A West 1st Street person reported juveniles were throwing firecrackers at each other.

• Oct. 28: A West 2nd Street woman reported a broken window in her home.

• Oct. 28: Buckeye Lake Fire Department requested an assist, but the call was canceled.

Hebron • Sept. 7: The owner of Brad's Recycling called police about a suspicious load of catalytic converters brought to the center. He told police that they had been cut with an industrial shear and thought they might have come from Legends Smelting. A manager there viewed the security tape from Brad's and thought the person looked like a former employee. When another officerwas briefed about the incident, he remembered a traffic stop several weeks earlier for driving under suspension. Police found several catalytic converters in the trunk when taking inventory prior to impounding it. That driver told police he worked at Legends and got the converters at an employee's discount. He was planning to resell them at a profit.The Legends owners said this man was still an employee and had been seen recently with the exemployee suspect. Since the theft occurred outside the village, police turned the investigation over to the Licking County Sheriff's Office.

• Sept. 7: Police were called about loud music complaint on North Street. Parties were advised. • Sept. 7: Police made a traffic stop on Ohio 79 at US 40 and cited a motorist for 69 mph in a 50 mph zone.
