Wilma Dean James

A funeral service celebrating the life of Wilma Dean James, 70, of Buckeye Lake, was held Oct. 17, 2007, in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville with Pastor Scott Hutchinson and Will Estep officiating. Burial followed in Kirkersville Cemetery.

Wilma died Saturday afternoon in Newark, following an extended illness. She was born in East Kermit WV, on January 14, 1937, the daughter of the late Gus and Betty Davis Pack.

She was a graduate of the Kermit High School, Class of 1956. On December 3, 1956, she married Frank James, who preceded her in death in 1988.

Wilma was a member of the Community Freewill Baptist Church in Somerset, and was an avid gardener. She adored caring for her three grandsons, Jordan, Logan and Garrett Morris and her two canine companions, Wishbone and Taz.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Robert, Ked, John Paul, Bankie Lee, & Bennie; and her sisters, Beulah, Nadine, Bonnie Jean, LeWanna, and Ruth.

She is survived by her children, Mitchell of Plain City, Betty James, Jacqui (Sean) Burt and Barry of Buckeye Lake; her brothers, Jimmy Pack of Mingo Co. WV, and Jack (Erma) Pack of Columbus; her sister-in-law, Virgie Pack of Gahanna; her best friend of 50 years, Betty Jude of Pataskala; and her DaVita Dialysis Family in Newark.
