Writers support Popo for board of education

Editor:

Vince Popo is among many excellent candidates running for the Walnut Township School Board. If elected, we believe Vince will not only serve our district with distinction, but make a lasting impact. He's running with no ax to grind yet with a tremendous amount of vision.

Vince and his wife Debbi are recently retired teachers with over 60 years of experience in education, coaching, and preparing students to excel outside the classroom. Vince is a natural bridge who has worked collaboratively with our Township Trustees, Council Members and Mayor, not to mention present and past school board members, administrators, and teachers.

Vince has taken the lead in expanding and improving soccer fields at FairfieldBeach and Millersport; developed strength and conditioning programs for our student athletes; done yeoman's work as the Village of Millersport's Fiscal Officer;volunteered on every school levy campaign the past fiveyears; and worked very hard to have a unifying effect among elected officials in the Walnut Township-Millerport area.

Dare we go further to mention his involvement in the Millersport Lions Club, Leibs Island 9/11 Parade, Buckeye Lake Civic Association, Boy Scout Troop 404, and Millersport Covenant Church.

However, we do not commend Vince Popo to you just because he is a proven public servant. We do so because he is stellar husband, an awesome dad, a a tenacious worker, a generous volunteer, an insightful leader, a man with integrity, a faithful friend, and a soul committed to his Lord.
