Karen M. Bane

A funeral service for Karen M.(Kroll) Bane, age 59, of Hebron, was held September 25, 2007, at the Heath Chapel of Henderson-Van Atta Funeral & Cremation Service with Deacon Michael Franks officiating. Burial followed in Pataskala Cemetery.

Mrs. Bane died September 21, 2007, at Licking Memorial Hospital. She was born November 12, 1947 in Tonopah, Nevada to the late Robert William and Wanda (Hill) Kroll.

Mrs. Bane retired as a contracting officerfor DLA serving at the Defense Supply Center Columbus (DSCC) and received many awards including the Employee of the Quarter and the Commanders Coin for exemplary service. All who knew Karen are deeply grateful for her priceless dance and legacy of love, wisdom, humor and grace.

She is survived by three sons, Ted (Lori) Bane of Heath, Rick (Jennifer) Bane of Heath and Chris (Mindy) Bane of Thornville; 12 grandchildren; three brothers, Frank and Trent Kroll of Fallon, Nevada and Harold Kroll of Port Angeles, Washington; a sister, Kate Mood of Carlsbad, California; and two daughters, Vicky (Coy) Werner and Cindy Miracle.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Theodore W. Bane, who died on January 29, 2002; and a grandson, Brian Scott Bane.
