Floyd I. McDaniel
Floyd I. McDaniel, 90 of Baltimore, passed away Tuesday, September 4, 2007, after a brief illness. Floyd was born June 7, 1917, in Baltimore, to the late Russell and Lola McDaniel. He was a World War II US Army veteran serving at the Normandy Invasion; a past Commander and lifetime member of the VFW Post 3761; and a member of the American Legion in Millersport. He retired from the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation with 30 years of service.
Floyd is survived by his loving wife of 67 1/2 years, Geneva; daughters, Melodee (Terry) Sullivan of Morristown, TN, Mimi Keller, and Mandee (Lewis) Phillip, all of Baltimore; grandchildren, Jenee (Andy) Kowalski, Mistee (Dan) Gaskill, Tracee Wright, Suzee Johnson, Matthew Keller, Nicholas (Ashlee) Keller, and Erica (Justin) Brown; 14 great grandchildren; step-grandchildren, Tammy (Dan) Porter, Brad (Melissa) Sullivan, Cara (Dale) Hounshell, and Brenda Jacques; eight step-great grandchildren; and a nephew, Eddie (Evelyn) Mandrell of Fort Mohave, AZ.
Funeral service was held September 8, 2007, at Gloryland Nazarene Church, with Pastor Jack Combs officiating. Burial followed in Floral Hills Memory Gardens with the Baltimore VFW Post 3761 conducting military rites at the cemetery. Ewing St., Lancaster, OH 43130, or the Gloryland Nazarene Church.
