Lakewood Wall of Fame


Nine members, two posthumously, were inducted into the first class of the Lakewood Wall of Fame Friday, August 31. The Wall of Fame was created to honor those individuals or groups whose actions or achievements in their chosen fields bring honor and distinction to the heritage of the Lakewood community. From left to right, Dr. Richard Walters; Don Thorp; Donna Braig; Robin Braig; Mrs. Mame Calhoun, representing her late husband, John W. Calhoun; Nancy Schrider Dix; Dave Porter, representing his late teacher, Carrie B. Hutzell; Ila Jean Mason; and Jim Mitchen. Each honoree was nominated for the honor.
