QFM96's Breakfast Club trying to fix parking

By Charles Prince

COLUMBUS - On-air promotion for QFM96's Wags and Elliott End of Summer Breakfast Club set for 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Friday, August 31 at Captain Woody's begins Monday.

"We're going to tell them not to park in The Woods subdivision," Daddy Wags told The Beacon Wednesday. "We'll have a place for them to park."

The station is working with Captain Woody's to provide parking that doesn't upset neighbors.

"We have a sense of civic responsibility," Wags said. "We would like to leave everybody with a good feeling."

Wags comments were prompted by an August 11 Beacon story that The Woods residents are planning a "block party" for August 31 and are seeking permission to block off the Avondale Road entrance into the subdivision. Licking Township Trustees promised to research the request before their August 20 meeting. That meeting begins at 7 p.m. in the Licking Township Fire Company Station 3 on Ohio 13 just south of U.S. 40.
