Thanks for another successful Tour of Homes

Editor:

The 22nd annual Tour of Homes was held this past Sunday and was another huge success for the Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association. Over 600 guests visited the six homes on the shoreline of Buckeye Lake and enjoyed a boat tour of the west end of the lake.

With over 100 volunteers taking part in this event, it is impossible to say THANK YOU enough times. The hostesses did an outstanding job of highlighting the features of this year's homes and the dock workers stood in the sun all day long as they helped our guests on and off the boats.

Twenty two boat captains and their 1st mates kept things moving on the lake and shared our history, some of it factual, with our guests as they shuttled from house to house.

Our chairperson, Mary Sutphen, did an outstanding job of coordinating the tour with the assistance of Connie Saffle,Tory Wolfe, Janet Bartholow and Jane Swickard. Bud and Marty Springer were in charge of the main dock on Liebs Island and kept things moving smoothly throughout the day. Corporate sponsors included Coconis Furniture and Floor Covering; Coldwell Banker King Thompson-Marnita Swickard & Michelle Blizzard; and Lakeside Construction. They all deserve special recognition for their continued support of the our civic association.

Donations toward our food, water and fuel came from Roxy's Pizza; Subway; AJ Parker Real Estate-AJ Parker, Broker and Janet Bartholow, Realtor; Dan Frear Insurance; Fisher's Marina; and Kroger.

A special THANK YOU to those who opened their homes for hundreds of visitors: Dan and Linda Dick, Mike and Marty Kasson, Chad and Brandee Crist, Jeff and Cheryl Brandt, Jim and Carol Johnson and Krieg and Rhonda Babbert.

THANK YOU to all our guests We hope you enjoyed your day on the lake as much as we enjoyed having you as our guests.

Merv Bartholow, President Buckeye Lake Area Civic Association
