Nathan Writesel, Sr.
A funeral mass of the resurrection celebrating the life of
Nathan Writesel, Sr., 78 of Hebron, was held July 9, 2007, in the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Buckeye Lake with Msgr. Frank Meagher, Celebrant. Burial followed at Fairmount Cemetery, Jacksontown, with full military honors by the Licking County Veterans Alliance.
Nathan died late July 5, 2007, in Newark, following an extended illness. He was born February 16, 1929, in Columbus, the son of the late Audrey Miles and Emma Caroline Lloyd Writesel.
For 40 years he was a plumber and pipefitter,member of Union Local #189 in Columbus. He served honorably in the Ohio National Guard, 1946-1947.
Nathan was a very active member of the community holding memberships in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Buckeye Lake; a 4th degreemember from Columbus Council #809, Knights of Columbus and Past Grand Knight from St. John the 23rd Council #5429 K. of C., Columbus; a charter member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Council #13379 K. of C.; a member of Heath Masonic Lodge #771; 32 degree Scottish Rite Mason, Valley of Columbus, the York Rite Masonic Bodies of Newark; Buckeye Lake Eagles #2801, where he served as past president and past trustee; AMVETS Post #51 of Thornville; a social member of Buckeye Lake VFW # 1388. He was also a former member of St Ladislas' Council K of C Reeb Avenue, Columbus and also called bingo for many years at St. Lad's, K of C bingo at Great Southern and at Wehrle.
On July 26, 1946, he married the former Joan Healey, who survives him along with his children, Nathan Jr. of Hebron, Ronald (Elta ) of Utica, Stephen (Marcia) of Walterboro, SC, Patrick (Shelli) of Johnstown, David of Columbus, and Theresa (Gary) England of Columbus; 26 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; a brother, Paul (Patsy) Writesel of Columbus; a special niece, Carolyn Lee VanTilburg of Columbus; many nieces and nephews; and "Chico" his beloved dog.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Daniel in 1971; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn in 1996, and three of his brothers, Raymond, Clarence and Carl; and his sister. Virginia Webb.

Ted Harold Williams
A memorial service celebrating the life of Ted Harold Williams, 21, of Hebron, was held Monday, July 9, 2007, at the First Community Church, Buckeye Lake with Pastor Steven Bush officiating. Private family burial will follow at a later date.
Ted died suddenly on July 4th, 2007, in Hebron. He was born April 1, 1986, in Columbus. He attended Lakewood schools where he was active in the football, basketball and baseball programs. Ted was a good athlete and enjoyed all sports. He also enjoyed writing poetry.
He is survived by his adopted mother, Connie Wright of Newark; his twin brother, Earl Williams; his brothers, Josh and William Williams; his sisters, Brandy Cortez, Emily Williams, Erma Williams, Trish Williams, all of Columbus; his two step-brothers, Chad Wright (Lisa Ware) of Hebron and Shane Wright of Newark; and many nieces and nephews.
