Vernon "Lee" Knotts

A funeral service celebrating the life of Vernon "Lee" Knotts, 60, of Baltimore was held June 25, 2007, in the chapel of the Hoskinson Funeral Home, Kirkersville with Pastor Angie Sherer officiating. Burial followed in Kirkersville Cemetery.

Lee died at home June 21, 2007, surrounded by his family, following an extended illness. He was born in Meigs County, on November 26, 1946, the son of the late Robert Harry and Beaulah Gladys Shenefield Knotts.

He was a graduate of the Rutland High School class of 1964. He served honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam conflictand was a 35 year employee of United McGill in Columbus.

An avid golfer, OSU Buckeye fan and bow hunter, he enjoyed spending time with his family, good friends and especially his father-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, the former Kathy Sager, whom he married on Sept 20, 1969; his children, Tina (Jeff) Parks of Canal Winchester, and Toby of Chicago, IL.; granddaughters, Nicole and Kendra; father-in-law, Harvey Sager of Kirkersville; brothers and sisters, John (Marge) Knotts of Wilkesville, Goldie (Edwin) Nelson of Wooster, Jean Graham of Springfield, Bob Knotts of Sissonville, WV., Nancy (Tim) Hall of Whitehall, Kenny (Vivian) Knotts of Red House WV.; and many, brothers and sisters-in-law; nieces, nephews and cousins.
