Fire expo, muster set for June 23

REYNOLDSBURG - The 7th annual Fire Safety Expo and Muster returns to the Ohio Fire Academy from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 23.

The event is a cooperative effort between the Divison of State Fire Marshal and the Central Ohio Antique Fire Apparatus Association.

"This event features interactive

firesafety displays from firedepartments and safety organizations

from around the state," said State Fire Marshal Michael P. Bell. "In addition to SFM arson dog demonstrations and unique fire safety and severe weather trailers, the expo will include fun and exciting learning opportunities for the entire family."

More than 75 antique and modern firetrucks are expected to be on display, ranging from 19th century steam pumpers to 21st century bomb robots. A fleamarket will offer thousands of items for sale to fireservice buffs.

The public is invited. Parking and admission are free. Refreshments will be available for purchase. The State Fire Academy is at 8895 E. Main St. (US 40).
