Lois R. McMichael

Lois R. McMichael, (nee Rowlins) - 78 of Thornville, formerly of Avon Lake, passed away, Sunday, May 20, 2007 at her home following a lengthy illness. Mrs. McMichael was born February 10, 1929, in Columbus and had lived in Avon Lake for 44 years before moving to Thornville in 1998.

Mrs. McMichael attended Bliss College and then worked as a secretary for the Social Security Administration for 20 years. She was a member of the Avon Lake United Church of Christ; a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; Light-O-Day #472; Thea Court #5; Ladies Oriental Shrine; Ladies of the White Shrine, Mount Olive #3; Amvets Post #51; and was a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed reading, playing Bridge and watching football.

Mrs. McMichael is survived by her daughter, Karen Marie McMichael of Newark; two sons, Earl D. McMichael, III (Noreen Green) of Lorain and Kevin C. McMichael of Lorain; sister, Fern R. Pickett of Thornville; six grandchildren, Heather McMichael, Earl D. Mc- Michael, IV (Rachel

Clark), Christopher McMichael, David Carnes (Kim), Daniel Carnes (Jennifer) and Benjamin Carnes; eight great grandchildren, Elizabeth McMichael, Dezarae McMichael, Destiny McMichael, Shiann McMichael, Logan Mc- Michael, Savannah Carnes, Hunter Carnes and Amorette Carnes; and a nephew: Daniel Mefford. She is preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Earl D. McMichael, Jr.; sister, Joann Rawlins; nephew, Jeff Mefford; brother-in-law, Charles Pickett and her parents, Charles J. and Ola Marie(nee Davey) Rawlins.

Funeral Services were May 24, 2007, at the Shadeville Church of God, Columbus with burial in the Dayton National Cemetery.
