James A. Arnold
A funeral service celebrating the life of James A. Arnold, 77, of Newark, was held May 8, 2007, at Life Church, with Pastor Michael Newland officiating. Burial followed in Millersport Cemetery.
He was born March 6, 1930 in Mansfield,the son of the late Arthur J. and Mildred Arnold.
James was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army and a member of the American Legion in Millersport. He enjoyed working with model cars and tractors. He worked 38 years for Owens-Corning Fiberglas in Newark, retiring in 1985.
James died last Friday afternoon following an extended illness. He is survived by his wife, the former Mary Helen Meadows, whom he married on June 9, 1951; his brothers and sistersin law Marvin (Ethel) Meadows of Waverly, and Ronald (Debbie) Meadows of Pleasantville; and his half sister Theola (Ralph) Hershner of Lexington.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by three brothers and seven sisters.
