John E. "Jack" Kemp

John E. "Jack" Kemp, 81 of Lancaster, died Wednesday, April 18, 2007, at Fairfield Medical Center. He was a fireman for the B & O Railroad with 18 years of service and a World War II US Army veteran serving as a machine gunner. He was a member of the Acme Blue Lodge #554 in Newark, Scottish Rite Valley of Columbus, Aladdin Temple, and loved his draft horses. Survived by his son, John Michael Kemp of Philo, Ohio; daughter, Linda Shonborn of McConnelsville, Ohio; granddaughter, Angela; and a great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his wife, Violet M. Kemp and parents, Lester and Hazel Kemp. A graveside service was held April 21, 2007, at Tschopp Cemetery with the Baltimore Blue Lodge #475 conducting the Masonic rites at the cemetery.
