Martial arts students excel at championship
NEWARK - George Annarino and several of his students competed in the Indiana All-Star Championship. This tournament was open to all styles of Marital Arts and Jiu-Jitsu.
In the Men's Senior Black Belt division, Grand Champion George Annarino won 1st in forms, demonstration, synchronized forms and weapons.
In the Young Men's 12-13 year old Advance Division, Todd Harrold won 2nd in breaking, 3rd in forms and 4th in weapons
In the Young Boys 9-10 year old Advance Division, Christian Hixson-Forrest won 1st in weapons, forms and synchronized forms 2nd in fighting.
In the Young Boys 10-11Year old Novice Division, Grand Champion Corbin Nye 2nd in weapons,1st in forms, 3rd in fighting, 2nd in soft sword and 1st in synchronized forms.
In the Senior Advance Women's Division, Grand Champion Kim Harrold won 1st in forms, weapons and breaking.
In the Junior Girls Novice 11-13, Felicia Oxier won 1st in forms, fighting and synchronized forms.
In the Junior Girls 9-10 year old advance division, Grand Champion Allyson Smith won 1st in weapons, forms, fighting, jiu-jitsu, and soft sword and synchronized. 3rd in breaking.
In the Pee Wee Girls 6-7 year old division, Grand Champion Autumn Pierce won 1st in forms, weapons, fighting and 2nd in breaking and soft sword.
FairfieldBeach Karate School, owned by Danny Phillips, is affiliated with Annarino's Martial Arts School. His students recently travelled to Dayton to compete in the Inter-Club Tournament held in Dayton Recreation Center.
In the men's Senior 45 and over Black Belt Division, Danny Phillips won 3rd in forms, and 2nd in weapons, and 3rd in fighting.
In the Young Men's Jr. Black Belt Division, Johnny Miller won 2nd in forms and 3rd in fighting.
In the Senior Men's Novice Division, Mike Moeller won 1st in fighting, and 2nd in forms.
