Robert E. Bollinger II
A memorial service for Robert E. Bollinger II, age 34, of Newark, was held March 26, 2007, at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastors Paul Hansen and Barbara Murray officiating. Inurnment took place in Lutheran Cemetery.
Robert, a 1991 graduate of Lakewood High School, died March 22, 2007, at The Ohio State University Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1972, in Columbus, to the late Robert E. Bollinger I and the late Gloria J. (Bush) Bollinger.
Robert was a member of the Newark Church of the Nazarene, was a member of AA and worked at The Main Place. He loved baseball and played at Lakewood and was on the Mound City team and the Babe Ruth traveling team. He was very proud of the fact that he pitched a no hitter and hit a home run in the Shrine Tournament.
He is survived by a son, Shawn Bollinger and a daughter, Taylor Bollinger, both of Heath; two sisters, Kim (Dirk) Cashdollar of Newark and Kelle (Steve) Hayden of Newark; four nieces, Alisha Gerren, Hailey Tribble, Shelby Hayden and Sarah Hayden; one aunt, one uncle and four cousins; mother of his children, Carrie Ford; and grandparents of his children, Cindy (Chuck) Hiles and Tom Moore.
