Maple Syrup Madness- Last day is Saturday, March 10, 10 am - 5 pm. The Maple Trail will lead curious hikers from the shelter house to the Log Cabin where they'll finda crackling fire, lots of sweet-smelling steam and samples of syrup. Guide yourself down the Maple Trail or take part in a guided tour starting at the Shelter House at 2pm.
Dinner & Night Hike- Friday, March 16, 2007, Dinner: 6 - 7:30 pm Hike: 7:30 - 9:30 pm, We're offering something a little different- we are serving dinner in the Firelight Room prior to the Hike. Whether you join us for supper or just for the hike, you'll be glad you came to join in this fun evening ramble. Reservations are required for the dinner but the walk is dropin friendly! Night Hike Free/Dinner $8, reservation required, meet at the Visitors Center.
Success With Seeds- Saturday, March 24, 2007, 12:30 - 2 pm, Starting from seed opens a whole new world of plants from common to heirloom, or even rare and exotic. It also costs less. Botanical facts and techniques will be covered as well as techniques for successful germination, hardening off and transplanting. An interesting variety of seeds will be provided and each student is invited to prepare and take home a 36-cell tray planted with the annuals, perennials or vegetables of your choice! $25/$15 members, reservation required (by March 14), meet at the Zand Education Center.

'Sew' Much Fun - Thornville, It's the clothing and textile update of the year--the Sewing Smorgasbord is Saturday, March 24, 9:15 a.m. to 3:05 p.m., doors open at 8:30 a.m., at the Sheridan Middle School near Thornville. It's an update for the small homebased cottage industry of sewing with 30 classes and more than 23 exhibitors, admission is $5 per person, contact Cindy Schuster, (740) 743-1602.
St. Patrick's Day Party - Buckeye Lake. Buckeye Lake Library is hosting a St. Patrick's Day Party as part of Family Fun Night Story Time on March 14 at 5 p.m. Bring the entire family for St. Patrick's Day games, shamrock cookies and green punch. Jazz Arts Group - Columbus, The Columbus Jazz Orchestra presents its 2006-2007 season at the Southern Theatre in two series: Swingin' at the Southern and the Great American Songbook.
+ The Swingin' at the Southern series features swingin' big band sounds, with six separate concerts of six performances each. Concerts are held at 8 pm Wednesday through Saturday nights and Sundays at 2:00pm and 7:30pm. Single tickets are $30-$48.

Brenda Sue's Country Jamboree - Buckeye Lake.
