Ronald Keith "Buck" Landis

Ronald Keith "Buck" Landis, 58 of Somerset, died Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at FairfieldMedical Center. He was a retired machine operator for Kingsford Products in Baltimore and a Vietnam veteran serving in the US Marine Corps. He was an avid race car fan, loved his Chicago Bears, and was a graduate of FairfieldUnion High School.

He is survived by his children, Donnely (Rick Miller) Barber of Rushville, Jim (Tricia) Barber of Thurston, Diana (Tim Liedel) Barber of Somerset, Michael (Neatsie) Barber of Thurston, and Mary Barber of Thurston; 12 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; sisters, Sharon (Garry) Boring and Beverly Syx all of Somerset; brother-in-law, Kenny Karsten of Thurston; nephews, Terry Boring of Somerset and Eric (Colleen) Boring of Hebron; several aunts, uncles, cousins, two great nieces and a great nephew. He was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Marlene Landis; parents, George and Audrey Landis; great grandson, Hunter Barber; and brotherin law, Charles Syx.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Johnson Smith Funeral Chapel, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore with Rev. Dr. Rebeka Maples officiating. Burial to follow in Primitive Baptist Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
