Baltimore man named to Strickland administration

COLUMBUS - Terry Thomas, of Baltimore, has been named assistant director of the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) with responsibility for employer services workforce programs.

According to ODJFS Director Helen Jones-Kelley, Thomas will also be the ODJFS liaison to the Governor's Workforce Policy Board, the Department of Development and other business and community stakeholders "both in the continuity of workforce development opportunities and assisting the administration in reviewing and considering the alignment of those programs within the governor's Turnaround Ohio Plan."

Thomas is currently the executive director of the Ohio Association of Community Colleges and chairs a team which is reviewing workforce activities for the state.
