Twila G. Wiseman

Twila G. Wiseman, age 80, of Thornville, entered eternal life on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at Mt. Carmel East Hospital, Columbus.

She was born October 14, 1926, in Thornville to Harold and Gladys (Starkey) Helser. Twila started playing the organ at the Olivet Brethren Church, Thornville at age 13, was the organist at St. Mathews Lutheran Church in Columbus for 18 years, two years at First Presbyterian Church in Newark. She was very active at the Perry County Retired & Senior Volunteer Program for 15 years where she played the piano for the Golden Aires Senior Center group and for the Silver Tones. Twila accompanied local singer Sis Meier on the piano for many occasions in the Licking County and Perry County areas. She studied at the Conservatory of Music in Dayton. Twila was also an accomplished accordionist.

Twila is survived by her children: Susan (Larry) Couden, Barbara (Eric) Keller and David (Chris) Wiseman, grandchildren: Jennifer & Scott Couden, Corbin Keller, Francine Cleer and Andy Cleer, brothers Eugene Helser and Gerald Helser.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harold and Gladys Helser, husband Frederick Wiseman in 1980 and twin sister Ill Helser.

Funeral service was February 5, 2007, at Grace Lutheran Church, Thornville with Pastor Jeff Morlock officiating and Pastor Ken Markle of Reynoldsburg United Methodist Church. Burial followed at Olivet Cemetery, Thornville.
