Patty Lou Reedy Mercurio
Patty Lou Reedy Mercurio, 78 of Baltimore, died February 1, 2007, at Heartland-FairfieldNursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born on July 29, 1928, in Baltimore and was a graduate of Thornville High School. She was a member of The Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She worked at Weekly Reader Publishing Company as a young woman, created mosaic art for her family business in Columbus, in the 1960's owned and operated the Ohio Canal Restaurant in Millersport for a few years, acquired her real estate license after attending Ohio University, and retired from JC Penney.
She is survived by her sons, Ric (Zandra) Whittington of WA, Jeff (Diane) Whittington of Logan, Mark (Polly) Mercurio of Baltimore; daughters, Kathy (Evan Morris) Wollard of Millersport, Suzanne (Ted) Keller of Millersport, Michelle (Lanny) Stoughton of Baltimore, and Cheryl (Mitch) Ardrey of Baltimore; grandchildren, Jeremy, Becci, Josh, Justin, Jarrod, Rochelle, Stuart, Ida, Giles, Emmy, Anthony, Annette, Michael, Mark, Mary, Teddy, Heshem, Brandy, Natalie, Crystal, Michael, and Matthew; 11 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Shirley Reedy of Lancaster; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Mercurio; parents, Charles and Mary Reedy; and brother, Richard Reedy.
A memorial service was held February 5, 2007, in the Johnson-Smith Funeral Home Chapel and Crematory, 207 S. Main St., Baltimore with Chaplain Karl Hartmann officiating. Caring cremation has taken place.
